Our Winter 2018 Book and Bake Sale was a big success. Almost $1500 was raised for the Chatham Library! The success of the sale could not have been done without the generous support of the many Friends members who donated books, provided baked goods (both personally baked and purchased), as well as the volunteers who helped with set up, helped during the sale and helped with clean up afterwards. And of course, I cannot thank enough the many members of the Friends and the community who came and purchased the books, cookies, cakes and special treats.
The Friends next fundraiser is the annual murder mystery dinner and matinee, called Volunteer Depreciation, which is on Friday, March 9 at 6 PM and Saturday, March 10 at 2 PM and 6 PM. Tickets are available at the Café/Bookstore. There are also volunteer opportunities during this fundraiser to help with serving during the performances, and again, we will need people to donate cakes and pies for each performance. If you are able to help out with any of these requests, please contact the Library.
If you have not yet joined the Friends for 2018, membership forms can be found on the Library website. We always need talented, dedicated people to continue to make our Library even better than it already is! Thank you for your continued support.
